Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine for external application for treatment of atopic dermatitis and/or it's related skin disease dermatosis, free from a side effect and capable of obtaining an excellent therapeutic effect.
SOLUTION: This medicine for external application for treatment of atopic dermatitis comprises a composite preparation including as active ingredient, (A) a nitroimidazole derivative expressed by formula (I) (R1 and R2 are each independently a linear or a branched alkyl, alkyl alcohol optionally having hydroxyl, benzyl, a phenyl, a cycloalkyl, an ether and/or an amino group) or it's pharmaceutically permissible salt and (B) one or more kind of drug components selected from an antifungal agent, an adrenal cortical hormone, an antibacterial agent or a sulpha drug, an antihistamine, an antiallergic agent, an antiinflammatory agent, an antibiotic and a topical anesthetic. The preferable compound expressed by formula (I) is 2-(2-methyl-5-nitro-1-imidazolyl)ethanol, i.e., metronidazole.
