PURPOSE: To permit the continuous reversal of medium such as sheet with a simple constitution by transferring the medium on a guide plate to make the end of the medium abut against a stop member so that the rear end of the medium is kicked off by a transfer roller under that condition to receive the reversed medium in a container.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet A discharged from a printer 1 is directed downward by an upper guide 4 to travel along a lower guide 3 through a transfer roller 5. The leading end of the travelling sheet A is drawn between the lower guide 3 and a tray 15 at a drawing section 21 of a drawing mechanism 9 and bent to turn down the tail end of the succeeding sheet A to the tray 15 side. And when the leading end of the sheet A abuts against a slip stopping plate 16, the shorter sheet A having the tail end passing by a transfer roller 5 reverses the tail end with its own elastic force to stock itself on the tray. On the other hand, the longer sheets B, C are bulged in the central portion to stack the leading end on the tray and then kick off the tail end with the transfer roller 5 to stock themselves on the tray 5.
