Abstract:
To provide a medium discharge device capable of appropriately changing an arrangement position of a tray on which a discharged medium is placed.SOLUTION: A medium discharge device includes: a discharge roller; a discharge tray having a first placement surface and on which a medium discharged by the discharge roller is placed; and an extension tray that is rotatably attached to a downstream side end part of the discharge tray in a medium discharge direction and has a second placement surface, and on which the discharge medium is placed. A first contact part and a second contact part are provided at the downstream side end part of the discharge tray, and a first contacted part and a second contacted part are provided at a discharge tray side end part of the extension tray. Contact between the first contact part and the first contacted part causes the second placement surface to be arranged at a first angle with respect to the first placement surface, and contact between the first contact part and the second contacted part causes the second placement surface to be arranged at a second angle different from the first angle with respect to the first placement surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
