Abstract:
To solve a problem that in trying to measure the temperature of a recording medium by using an infrared ray sensor, it is not possible to accurately measure the temperature of the recording medium because of an influence of an infrared ray emitted from heating means.SOLUTION: A medium heating device includes: a support part 410 having a support surface for supporting a medium; a radiation heating part 420 provided separately from the support surface for radiating an electromagnetic wave to the support surface; a first temperature detection part 440 provided separately from the support surface, which is located at a position to which the electromagnetic wave is radiated; a second temperature detection part 460 provided separately from the support surface, which is located at a position shielded by a shielding member 450 for blocking the electromagnetic wave; a third temperature detection part 470 provided to the support part; and a control part 480 for controlling the radiation heating part 420 based on a first detection value T1 detected by the first temperature detection part, a second detection value T2 detected by the second temperature detection part, and a third detection value T3 detected by the third temperature detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
