Abstract:
To provide a medium processing device that can improve productivity in processing for binding a plurality of sheet-like media by pressure-bonding the media and also improve performance in holding the media in a bound state.SOLUTION: A medium processing device comprises: a conveying part that conveys media; liquid applying means that applies liquid to the media conveyed by the conveying means; and pressure-bonding means that binds a bundle of media including at least one medium to which liquid is applied by the liquid applying means, by pressurizing and deforming the bundle. The liquid applying means is configured to select, whether application of the liquid to all of the media constituting the bundle of media is executed or application of the liquid only to some of the media constituting the bundle of media is executed, in accordance with a conveyance interval at which the media are conveyed by the conveying part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
