To provide a medium reversing device or the like which can reduce a running cost since a medium can be reversed by own weight of the medium without using power.
A medium reversing device includes: a medium receiving part 10 which is rotatably provided centered at an axis part 20 and on which a medium is placed; a weight 14 which is provided on the opposite side of the medium receiving part 10 to the axis part 20, for balancing with the medium receiving part 10 concerning rotation of the medium receiving part 10 centered at the axis part 20; and a guide part 30 for guiding and reversing the medium dropped off from the medium receiving part 10. In the medium reversing device, when the medium is placed on the medium receiving part 10, the medium receiving part 10 rotates centered at the axis part 20 by own weight of the medium, and a degree of inclination of the medium receiving part 10 increases, whereby the medium drops from this medium receiving part 10, and the medium is reserved by the guide part 30.
