PURPOSE: To obtain a defectless molding by heating a vessel and core to melt an ingot then pushing downward the core and extruding the ingot molt into the spacing between the core and the vessel.
CONSTITUTION: The upper part of the vessel 2 and the core 1 is made slidable via a step (a). The ingot 7 of platinum, etc. is heated by high-frequency induction heating and at the same time the vessel 2 and the core 1 are heated as well. The temp. is further increased and after the melting of the ingot 7 is confirmed, the core 1 is pushed downward by a laboratory jack 6. The molten platinum melt is extruded into the spacing (b) between the vessel 2 and the core 1. The molding of a cylindrical shape or the like is obtd. when the melt is cooled. The molding is formed by extruding the melt of the metal from below to above and therefore the generation of a blowhole, etc. is prevented and the defectless molding is obtd.
