PURPOSE: The yarn, solidifying by cooling, is treated with a finishing oil right after the device for scraping off the air flow accompanying the yarn, whereby the super high-speed spinning of thermoplastic polymer is successfully conducted without fluffing, wrapping and white powder formation.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate is extruded into a yarn Y and the yarn is led to the device for scraping off the air flow accompanying the yarn, immediately finishing oil is applied by means of the applicator 3. The yarn is taken up with the first and second godet rollers 4, 5, sent through guide 6 and wound up around the traverse winder at a speed of higher than 5,000cm/sec. The distace between the device for scraping off the accompanying air flow and the oil applicator is preferably within 100mm.
