PURPOSE: To provide the subject compsn. capable of melting at ≤750°C, having excellent chemical durability and low reactivity with ferrite and effectively usable for melt-sticking a magnetic material for a magnetic head, especially a ferrite head to be preferably melt-stuck at ≤750°C.

CONSTITUTION: This glass compsn. consists of, by mol, 24-32% PbO, 50-64% SiO2, 0-4% B2O3, 4-8% ZnO, 6.5-9% Na2O and/or K2O and 0-2% Fe2O3.
