The melting furnace with the stirrer is equipped with a main body of the melting furnace 25 for melting the raw material, and the stirrer installed below a bottom surface of the main body of the melting furnace 25 for stirring molten metal 30 in the main body of the melting furnace 25 by applying a moving magnetic field to the molten metal 30. The stirrer is composed of a frame 2 as a base placed on the floor, a supporting base 6 for magnets whose one end side is mounted rotatably around a first shaft (hinge 4) substantially horizontal with respect to the frame 2 and the other end thereby capable of being tilted and turned with the first shaft as the center, a rotary plate 17 rotatably journaled to the supporting base 6 around a second shaft positioned substantially perpendicular to the supporting base 6 when the supporting base 6 is at a substantially horizontal position and which changes its angle accompanying the tilting and turning of the supporting base 6, and a plurality of magnets 22 fixed on the rotary plate 17.
