Abstract:
To provide a melting furnace capable of perfectly burning and discharging the exhaust gas even if being abnormally produced in the furnace body.
The melting furnace comprises a pre-combustion chamber 42 connected to a throat 3, an air feed pipe 51 for feeding a combustion air to the pre-combustion chamber 42, a low pressure fan 52 combined with a flow rate control valve 53 inserted in the air feed pipe 51, for varying the air flow rate, a pressure gage 61 for measuring pressure in the throat 3 and control means 62 for controlling the air feed rate from the air feed pipe 51, based on the pressure value obtd. by the pressure gage 61.
