Abstract:
To provide a melting holding furnace capable of improving space efficiency and energy efficiency.SOLUTION: A melting holding furnace 1 comprises: a melting holding furnace body 10 melting an ingot 30 and holding the melted metal; charge ports 21a, 21b provided at the upper part of the melting holding furnace body 10 and charged with the long-length ingot 30 from one edge thereof; and ingot charge parts 20a, 20b with slender charge passages 22a, 22b introducing the ingot 30 charged from the charge ports 21a, 21b into the melting holding furnace body 10 and pre-heating the introduced ingot 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
