Abstract:

To provide a member for a field emission type display which can attain the reduction of cost, the increase of dimensional precision, the increase of performance and upsizing.

The member for a field emission type display consists of an Fe-Ni based alloy comprising, by mass, 43 to 53% Ni, and also has a composition controlled to the ranges of 0.0005 to 0.02% C, ≤0.60% Mn, ≤0.20% Si, ≤0.20% Cr, ≤0.006% P, ≤0.003% S, ≤0.003% B, ≤0.005% O and 0.005 to 0.01% N. The alloy preferably comprises, as solid solution enhancing elements and/or precipitation enhancing elements, one or more kinds of metals selected from Al, Mo, W, Nb, Ta, Ti and Zr by 0.03 to 7% in total.
