PURPOSE: To reliably fix a soft member to the other member with sufficient strength by fixing a frictionally welded main body to one member, inserting a pin of the main body into a claw member, and engaging a locking claw with an installing hole of the other member.

CONSTITUTION: First of all, a main body 2 is installed on a pillar garnish (b) by rotary welding. When this main body 2 is formed of a material of the same quantity with the pillar garnish (b), it can be more firmly welded. Next, a pin 5 of the main body 2 is inserted into a base body 10 of a claw member 3, and the claw member 3 is put on the pin 5, and this is pressed. Therefore, an engaging part 8 formed in a tip part of the pin 5 outside opens respective divided parts divided by slits 14..., and a lower end part of the base body 10 is diametrically expanded, and the claw member 3 is fixed to the pin 5 of the main body 2. This claw member 3 is pressed in and fixed to an installing hole (i) arranged in a body panel (c). Therefore, the pillar garnish (b) is connected and fixed to the body panel (c) through an installing tool 1.
