Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect defects in a surer manner.
SOLUTION: This testing method is carried out for a membrane tank 1, having a tank 3 and a cold-insulation layer 4 isolated from each other by a membrane 5, and comprises the filling of the tank 4 with a pressurized tracer gas, the sampling of a gas filling the layer 4, and the measurement of the concentration of the tracer gas in this gas. This method further comprises cooling of the interior of the tank 3 after the filling has been carried out and the sampling of the gas filling the layer 4, after cooling has been carried out.
