PURPOSE: To prevent the discharging of the static electricity applied to the position near a connection hole to a connection terminal, and to prevent the destruction of data stored in a memory IC and also the destruction of the memory IC itself in regard of a two-piece type memory card which contains a connection hole on its side face.

CONSTITUTION: A housing 21 of plastic resin constructs a card main body. The connection terminals 23 are formed by putting by pressure or inserting into a connection hole 22 to secure the connection to an external device. The place near the hole 22 formed on the side face of the card main body is covered with the conductive plastic B, i.e., a conductive member. In such a constitution, the memory card is made. In another example, a metallic plate is used for the conductive member and the place near the connection hole is covered with the metallic plate or a metallic piece is buried in the place near the hole. In such a constitution of a memory card, the static electricity S applied to the place near the connection hole is discharged to the plastic B closest to the connection hole so that the discharging of the electricity S to the terminal 23 can be prevented.
