Abstract:
To enhance the safety of customer against laser scanning light.
On a position facing a read window 12 on the customer side B of a sucker base 1, a shielding plate 30 for preventing the laser scanning light radiated from the read window 12 toward the customer side from being diffused to the outer side (B) of the sucker base 1 is provided. Together with it, a display device 38 for the customer for displaying merchandise data read by a fixed type scanner 11 is provided on the outer side face 300 of the shielding plate 30.
