PURPOSE: To form the cut in cedar tie-died design on a thin steel plate without generating noise by inserting the thin steel plate between a pair of cutters and shifting them, in a mesh forming cutter for a herringbone used lath for the undercoat for coated wall such as mortar paint.
CONSTITUTION: The first and the second disc-shaped blades 10 and 20 are inserted reciprocally at an intervals on a revolution shaft 1 through spacers 30. Parallelogram-shaped projections 11 and 21 are formed in the circumferential direction at equal intervals at both ends of the outer periphery of each disc-shaped blade plate 10, 20. Two pairs of opposite edges of these projections 11 and 21 form cutting blades 12 and 22, and the cutting blades 12 and 22 are positioned in front and in rear for the direction of revolution of the disc-shaped blade plates 10 and 20 and inclined for the direction of revolution. The intervals 13 and 23 between the projections 11 and 21 which are contiguous in the direction of revolution of the disc- shaped blade plates 10 and 20 are made equal to the dimension between the cutting blades 12 and 22. The cut in cedar tie-died design can be formed on the thin steel plate B inserted between a pair of cutters A and A' which are obtained by positioning the projections 11 and 21 in cedar tie-died design.
