Abstract:
To provide a meshing type engagement device capable of avoiding a situation where a contact portion with a rotary member is overheated by friction.SOLUTION: A meshing type engagement device comprises: a ring gear 1 and a piece 2 that are coaxially arranged and rotate relative to each other; a fork 3 that is arranged with a predetermined clearance for the piece 2, and moves back and forth in a rotational axis direction to engage with the piece 2, to move the piece 2 back and forth; and a case 5 as a fixing member, where the piece 2 is moved relative to the ring gear 1 to mechanically engage the ring gear 1 and the piece 2. The fork 3 has a locking surface 3c facing the case 5. The case 5 has a regulation surface 5a facing the locking surface 3c. Between the locking surface 3c and the regulation surface 5a, the spacer 6 is provided that contacts both the locking surface 3c and the regulation surface 5a to regulate the back-and-forth movement of the piece 2 and secures the clearance between the piece 2 and the piece 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
