Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a message batch processing system with the intermittent operating function which operates in parallel to on-line transaction processing.
CONSTITUTION: This system is equipped with a transaction processing base part 4 which controls the execution of transaction processing, a real-time system program execution part 5 which distributes messages of an on-line terminal device 2 to application programs 10-12, a message data file 7 which stores the messages in order by message kinds by adding serial numbers by the message kinds, a control table 9 which contains logical addresses based upon the serial numbers of the messages and message data file names and the quantity of messages processed in single transaction processing, a batch system program execution part 8 which reads message data out of the message data file 7 in order, performs the transaction processing, and reports the stop of the transaction processing when the number of processed messages reaches the process quantity, and a batch system program execution control part 6 which actuates the batch system program execution part 8 with an operator command or a restart request report received through the transaction processing base part 4.
