PURPOSE: To prevent the leaking of rainwater through roof tile surfaces by a method wherein a metal fixing fitting is formed of a roof tile support part disposed on the upper end side of the fixing fitting and a nail part disposed on the lower end side thereof via a support part extending vertically, to fix three roof tiles together with the metal fixing fitting.

CONSTITUTION: A metal fixing fitting 1 is unitarily formed of a support part 2 extending vertically, a roof tile support part 3 disposed on the upper end side of the fixing fitting and a nail part 8 disposed on the lower end side thereof via the support part 2. The roof tile support part 3 is formed of a locking part 4 and a holding part 7, and the top end of the nail part 8 is bent to form a sharp tip 9. The respective end portions 14, 15, 16 of roof tiles 11, 12, 13 are then overlapped with one another, and, in such a state, the roof tiles are locked together with the fixing fitting 1, thereupon the nail part 8 is driven into the exposed side surface of a tile batten 17. By this method, the fixing of roof tiles can be tightly secured.
