To form a fixing structure excellent in strength characteristics and not generating the lowering of strength caused by vibration or the like by making the inner diameter part of a metal fitting main body larger than the outer shape of an FRP reinforcing material and providing a straight pipe part having specific length and a rear taper part expanded at a predetermined angle to the metal fitting main body.
A terminal fixing metal fitting fixing the end part of a strandlike FRP reinforcing material is obtained by twisting a plurality of single wires made of fiber reinforced plastic obtained by impregnating continuous fibers such as carbon fibers, aramide fibers or glass fibers with a thermosetting resin and subsequently curing the resin. The inner diameter (d) of the metal fitting main body 2 into which the end part of the FRP reinforcing material is inserted is larger than the outer diameter D of the FRP reinforcing material and the metal fitting main body 2 has a straight pipe part 3 having length equal to or more than 50% of the outer diameter and the taper part formed to the rear end thereof and expanded at an angle of 2-10°. The strandlike FRP reinforcing material 1 is inserted into the part of the inner diameter (d) of the metal fitting main body 2 of the terminal fixing metal fitting and, further, an elastomer 6 and a fixing resin 7 are filled into said part to be fixed.
