To provide a metal foil ornamentation method capable of enhancing operation efficiency for arranging metal foil so as to cover a pattern of a silicone resin.

The metal foil ornamentation method has the pattern forming step for forming the pattern 20 comprising the silicone resin 21 colored by an aqueous coating material on the surface of a garment 10 which is an article to be ornamented, the metal foil arranging step for arranging a plurality of sheets of metal foil 30 so as to cover the pattern 20, the foil stamping step for stamping the metal foil 30 to the surface of the garment 10 which is the article to be ornamented and in which a part of the metal foil 30 which is superposed on the silicone resin 21 of the pattern 20 is affixed to the surface of the article to be ornamented, and the excessive metal foil removing step for removing a part of the metal foil 30 which is not superposed on the silicone resin 21 of the pattern 20.
