Title:
METAL-FREE HYDRAULIC FLUID WITH AMINE SALT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3802941
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a functional fluid which comprises an oil of lubricating viscosity, the reaction product of an amine and a sulfonic acid, and a specific sulfur-contg. compd., is excellent in antirust and anticorrosion properties, extreme-pressure abrasion resistance, etc., and is useful for hydraulic fluids, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This functional fluid comprises (A) an oil of lubricating viscosity such as an animal oil, a vegetable oil, a mineral oil, or a synthetic lubricating oil, (B) the reaction product of an amine and a sulfonic acid (e.g. a diamine salt of an alkyl-substd. naphthalenesulfonic acid), and (C) a compd. of formula I [wherein X is S or O provided at least one X is S; and R is (substd.) hydrocarbyl] {e.g. a mixture of a triaryl thiophosphate, a dithiophosphate, or a triaryl monothiophosphate with a compd. of formula II [wherein R and R" are each (substd.) alkyl; X is O or S; and a is 0 or 1]}.
