Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a hull that prevents the damage of a hull made of FRP caused by an ice floe in a freezen sea area by integratedly bonding a metal sheet layer on the outer side of the hull made of FRP through a metal flame spraying layer.

CONSTITUTION: A metal flame spraying layer made of iron, aluminum, stainless steel, etc. is formed on the outer side of a hull made of FRP by the gas flame spraying, arc flame spraying, plasma flame spraying, and such and a metal sheet layer made of steel, gunmetal, stainless steel, etc. with excellent resistance to wear is formed on its outer side. As a result, the metal sheet and the hull made of FRP are rigidly bonded integratedly through the metal flame spraying layer and the outside of the hull against which an ice floe collides can be protected by the metal sheet layer and then the hull made of FRP can be used in a freezen sear area.
