To provide a metal material supplying apparatus for casting equipment, capable of making simplifying the structure, and of enhancing the pouring accuracy of molten metal, as well as of solving conventional problems.

The supplying apparatus 10 comprises a metal material transport means 20, a molten metal storage pot 40 that stores a quantity of at least one shot or more of the molten metal, and a dispensing and supplying means 50 having a molten metal supplying pipe 51, a piston pump 61 equipped within the molten metal supplying pipe, and a driving means 64 that drives the piston pump 61. The molten metal storage pot can be made comparatively small in size, and it becomes unnecessary to install a holding furnace and a melting furnace both of large volume. Furthermore, since quantitative determination can be carried out within the molten metal supplying pipe and hence, it makes it possible to save a check valve and a pump chamber, etc., resulting in the simplification of the apparatus.
