Abstract:

To provide metal processing lubricating oil compositions which are used in treating metal surfaces of aluminum plate materials or the like and are coated on the can surfaces to improve moldability of the drawing processing with ironing, particularly to prevent the galling (marring) of the can surfaces.

A desired metal processing lubricating oil composition is obtained by incorporating (A) a 10-40C α-olefin, (B) a ≥12C unsaturated fatty acid having one or more double bonds in the skeleton, and (C) a phosphate ester into a mineral oil type lubricating oil base oil and/or a synthetic oil type lubricating oil base oil. A desired surface treated aluminum plate material is obtained by coating this composition on the surface of the aluminum plate material having a degree of roughness (Ra) of 0.2-0.6 μm in an amount of 100 to 500 mg/m2.
