PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method that can improve mechanical characteristics of metal material by introducing a fine structure to the metal material while preventing plastic deformation.SOLUTION: A metal processing method includes the step of applying, to metal material, a compression load of less than 200 N, under the condition of a load frequency of 50 Hz or more and a scan speed in one direction of 0.1 mm/seconds or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
