Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal recovery method which reduces the time for metal recovery and improves the quality of a recovered metal.SOLUTION: A metal recovery method is for recovering a metal X from a raw material containing the metal X and has a metal X recovery step of recovering the metal X by forming a material containing the oxide of the metal X from the molten metal of the raw material containing the metal X and separating the material containing the oxide of the metal X, and the metal X recovery step includes a metal Y oxide containing slag charging step of charging the slag which is produced in the step of recovering the metal from the molten metal of the raw material and contains the oxide of a metal Y into the molten metal of the raw material containing the metal X. The metal X used is such that, under the temperature condition for forming the oxide of the metal X, the standard free energy of oxidation of the metal X is smaller than the standard free energy of oxidation of the metal Y.
