Abstract:

To provide a metal surface treatment composition free from harmful chromium but capable of forming a surface treated metal plate having excellent corrosion resistance and lubricity with one layer of a coating.

The metal surface treatment composition comprises, with respect to (A) 100 parts by weight of the solid content of a water-soluble or water dispersible polyurethane resin: (B) 10 to 40 parts by weight of silica particles; (C) 0.3 to 25 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent; (D) 0.3 to 30 parts by weight of a vanadic acid compound; 1 to 20 parts by weight of at least one kind of fluoride compound selected from metal hydrofluoric acids and metal hydrofluoric acid salts; and (F) 0.5 to 30 parts by weight of a lubrication function imparting agent.
