Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal vapor discharge lamp having an outer tube mount that cannot be broken even when the lamp is used for a balloon lighting system, and a balloon lighting system using the lamp.SOLUTION: An outer tube mount of a metal vapor discharge lamp has a supporting post with a substantially U-shape. Supporting post holders are connected to the supporting post so as to close both end portions on an open side of the U-shape. The supporting post holders sandwich a shell tube of a stem and a stem neck portion so that the outer tube mount is positionally fixed to an outer tube.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
