Title:
METALLIC CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07173883
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make weld joints unnecessary, and to accurately fasten a horizontal member such as a beam onto the side of a vertically-stood member such as a column, by a method wherein a band-shaped metallic material is wrought by bending and a metallic connector is produced.

CONSTITUTION: A band-shaped steel plate 1A is bent being almost perpendicular to the axial direction thereof, i.e., on a broken line A, and is classified into an area 10 to be fastened onto a column 3 and an area 11 on which a beam 2 is to be held. Furthermore, the band-shaped steel plate 1A is bent being almost perpendicular to the cross direction thereof, i.e., on broken lines B, B, at the two places on the almost central part thereof, and thus a holding part 4 for the beam 2 is formed on a metallic connector 1. After that, nails or the like are driven into fitting holes 6, 6 on the area 10 and the metallic connector 1 is fastened onto the fixed side of the column 3, following which the end part of the beam 2 is inserted into the holding part 4, and the head parts of the nails are placed in groove parts 8, 8 on an end face 2A, and finally the beam 2 is fastened onto the metallic connector 1 through fitting holes 7, 7. In this way, weld joints or the like are made unnecessary and a horizontal member such as the beam can be accurately fastened onto the side of a vertically-stood member such as the column.
