Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect a required antibacterial action in a desired portion of a metallic double vacuum container by deposition of copper deposited in its base metal out on the surface of the base metal.
SOLUTION: A metallic double vacuum container A is produced from an inner container 21 and an outer container 22 both of stainless steel, which are combined to each other in a double structure having an insulating vacuum space 15 therebetween. The inner container 21 and/or the outer container 22 is made of a stainless steel plate where copper deposits in its base metal. The surface of this portion of the stainless steel plate where copper deposits in the base metal is subjected to electrolytic polishing using sulfuric acid, neutral salt, phosphoric acid or sulfuric and phosphoric acids, or mechanical polishing, and then to chemical cleaning employing sulfuric acid, copper sulfate, neutral salt or nitrohydrofluoric acid, depending on the type of polishing effected.
