Title:
METALLIC SURFACE TREATING SOLUTION FOR FORMING METAL COLD WORKING COMPOSITE FILM AND FORMATION OF COMPOSITE FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3193798
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the metallic surface treating solution for forming the composite film which remarkably improves a tool life, working rate, working speed, etc., by adding a cationic, organic high polymer compound that contains cationic nitrogen atoms and has a specified molecular weight, to a base solution of chemical conversion treatment.
CONSTITUTION: The metallic surface treating solution is prepared by adding the cationic, organic high polymer compound which contains at least one cationic nitrogen atom per constitutional unit and has a 1000 to 1000000 molecular weight, such as epoxy resins, polybutadiene based resins, maleic anhydride-modified resins or their salts such as phosphates, acetates to the base solution of chemical conversion treatment such as phosphate treating solutions, oxalate treating solutions in an amount of about 0.1 to 50g/l as the solid content. A metal such as carbon steel, low alloy steel having remarkably improved lubricity and in particular remarkably improved performances with respect to the seizing resistance can be obtained by treating the surface of the metal with this treating solution to form the composite film and further by treating the resulting surface to provide it with lubricity.
