Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a methacrylic ester copolymer which can give a high-quality film having a uniform thickness and freed from a wavy pattern like the one made by the wind on the beach, cirrings, pinholes, orange peels, streaks, etc., in good yields. CONSTITUTION:A methacrylic ester copolymer mainly consisting of a methacrylic ester and an acrylic ester, wherein when an upright glass rod (8mm in diameter) is rotated at a speed of 500rpm in a tetrahydrofuran solution containing 22wt.% above copolymer at 25 deg.C, the height of the solution climbing up around the rod lies within a range of 3.0-14.0mm.
