To simplify the positional adjustment of an image to be printed by providing a predetermined overlapping mark to printing foil to which the image to be printed is transferred and roughly adjusting the printing foil with respect to the center of a printing screen and subsequently arranging the image to be printed to a strictly accurate printing position.
Two overlapping marks spaced apart from the center part of an image 15 to be printed are provided to printing foil on which the image 15 to be printed is formed. Next, the printing foil is fixed to a printing screen 13 in positional relation to the almost center of the screen and the screen 13 is fixed to a positioning table 21 by a clamp element 23. The table 21 is moved in an X-Y direction to overlap the marks of the printing foil with the overlapping marks 31 on a monitor 30. Thereafter, center positioning sleeves 17 having holes 18 are slid on master pins 27 and a bridge 25 is allowed to fall to guide the sleeve 17 into the positioning holes 16 expanded in the radium direction of the screen. After the printing foil reaches a center position, the sleeves 17 engaged with the holes 16 are fixed so as to leave a gap by an adhesive.
