Abstract:
To provide a method of enabling particularly accurate manufacturing of a yarn package and preventing a formation of an error traversing of the yarn, in particular a traversing deflection, and a winding device.SOLUTION: A method for activating a winding device 1 for manufacturing a yawn package having a grooved roller 6 for positioning the yawn in winding to a winding package and a feeder 8 for feeding the yawn to be wound to the grooved roller can move a yawn guide element extending over a width of the grooved roller and supported to be rotatable parallel to a surface of the yawn package between a yawn 7 to be wound and the grooved roller so that the yawn is lifted at least partially from a groove of the grooved roller and is pulled from a ridge area of the yawn package 2 into a direction of the center of the yawn package due to a yawn tension to prevent an error traversing of the yarn in the winding package, in particular a traversing deflection in the area of the end surface of the yawn package.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
