Title:
METHOD FOR ADSORPTION AND SEPARATION OF GASEOUS MIXTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57107220
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for vacuum pumps without lowering the amt. of gaseous N2 in products by removing he gaseous mixture in an adsorption tower, evacuating the tower inside and feeding the gaseous mixture to an adsorption tower prior to adsorption process in separation of N2 and O2 in air and the like.

CONSTITUTION: Pressurized raw material air and the like is fed into an adsorption tower 11, where the O2 which is an easy to adsorb component is adsorbed and the N2 which is a difficult-to-absorb component is concd. and is fed into a tank 26. The gaseous mixture left in an adsorption tower 13 are discharged into a discharge pipe 23, and the inside of said tower is subjected to a primary evacuation and further to a secondary evacuation. The gaseous mixture in the pipe 23 are fed into an adsorption tower 12, and while the gases in the tower 12 are scavenged, the O2 adsorbed on an adsorbent 12a is desorbed and is discharged through a main discharge pipe 6. Thence, N2 is reflowed into the tower 12 from the tank 26, so that the inside of the tower is boosted up to prescribed pressure. In the towers 11, 12, 13, the adsorption, evacuation, desorption and boosting are repeated successively at deviated timings.
