Title:
METHOD FOR ALUMINIZING SURFACE OF METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3239545
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form a tough coating film having satisfactory surface precision on the surface of an iron-based alloy as a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: An iron-based alloy work is dipped in molten aluminum contg. manganese and diffusion treatment by heating is carried out to form a coating film of an intermetallic compd. on the surface of work by aluminizing. Since manganese is added to molten aluminum, the toughness of the coating film formed on the article to be treated is improved.
