Abstract:
To provide a method, an apparatus, and a base station that support higher data rates in a pre-5G or 5G communication system than in a 4G communication system.SOLUTION: A method determines frequency offsets including an RB level frequency offset and an RE level frequency offset. The frequency offsets are determined based on the lowest RE of an SS/PBCH block and the lowest RE of a CORESET with respect to an RMSI. The method uses a 4-bit first field for a combination of SCS of the SS/PBCH block and SCS of the CORESET, jointly configures the RB level frequency offset together with a multiplexing pattern of the SS/PBCH block and the CORESET, bandwidth of the CORESET, and the number of symbols for the CORESET, configures using a 4-bit second field, generates an MIB containing the RB level frequency offset and the RE level frequency offset, and transmits the MIB to UE via a PBCH.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
