To provide a method and apparatus for adaptively eliminating interference from a signal.
A received signal is linearly amplified along with a first signal path to feed a first signal, and nonlinearly amplified along with a second signal path to feed a second signal. The received signals are substantially simultaneously propagated through the first and second signal paths. The first and second amplified signals are mixed in a ratio according to determined first and second weights, to feed an output signal wherein interference is eliminated. The output signal is filtered to generate a first filtered signal corresponding to a ripple envelope of the output signal, is substantially simultaneously filtered to generate a second filtered signal corresponding to an average peak detecting value of the output signal. The first and second filtered signals are compared to generate an error signal. The first and second weights are determined according to the error signal.
