PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for moving a cylinder of eccentric bushing with a play without hurting quality in a printing press.

CONSTITUTION: Forces of adjacent stationary printing press cylinders 1; 3; 6 are detected in respect to movable printing press cylinders 2; 4; 5, and the forces of movable printing press cylinders 2; 4; 5 are corrected in respect to the flanges 23; 24 connecting operating cylinders 12; 13; 14 with an eccentric bushing 9, then the flanges 23; 24 are corrected so that all the synthetic forces R2; R4; R5 of the movable printing press cylinders 2; 4; 5 extend in the directions of r2; r4; r5 of the adjacent stationary printing press cylinders 1; 3; 6 at an angle α in the range O to ±45°.
