PURPOSE: To take a printing plate material out one by one from the printing plate material of the uppermost part and to carry it to an exposure part by a method wherein the top end of the printing plate material of the uppermost part is sucked and it is separated along an arc-like path when the printing material piled and stored in a printing plate material magazine is taken out one by one.

CONSTITUTION: The uppermost printing plate material of a plurality of offset printing plate materials 2 piled and stored at a longitudinal position where the non-photosensitive face is faced upward and the bottom end edge 20 is supported in a printing material magazine 3 is held one by one by a holding means 34 and is transferred to a pad 6. In this case, when the holding means 34 is hooked around the top end edge 23 of the non-photosensitive face side of the uppermost printing plate material and it is separated from the piled printing plate material 2, the bottom end edge 20 of the printing material is used as a center. In addition, the holding means 34 is moved along the path within a circle of a circle C where the distance between the bottom end edge 20 and a hooking point where the holding means 34 holds the printing plate material is used as a radius or along the circumference. It is possible thereby to prevent the printing plate material held and carried and the printing plate material of its lower side from being relatively moved by collision and to prevent scuff marks from being generated.
