Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for charging raw material stabilizing gas stream in a furnace by improving the discharging characteristic of the raw material from a lower step hopper in the bell-less blast furnace and controlling the grain size distribution of the raw material in the radius direction in the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: Double cylindrical-partitioning walls 13a, 13b having the same axis as the lower step hopper 5 is arranged in the lower step hopper 5 so as to arrange gap which the raw material can pass through at the time of discharging the raw material, at between the lower ends of the partitioning walls and sloping surface at the lower part of the hopper 5. Further, by using this apparatus, the raw material dis-charged from an upper step hopper 2 is classified and incorporated into each grain size and successively, in order of the fine grain, medium grain and coarse grain, the raw material is discharged. As the partitioning wall at the center part is used the one combining the conical partitioning wall and the cylindrical partitioning wall and this has at least the double structure and a polygonal cylindrical shape. Further, at the lowest part of the center part in a space formed with the partitioning wall, a raw material repulsive plate 16 is arranged.
