To provide a method and apparatus for cleaning a heat-exchanger in which bonding force can be increased while preventing leakage at a pipe enlarging part by cleaning fats and oils off uniformly and sufficiently and the outer surface of a heat exchanger tube can be protected against scratch and deformation while reducing man power required for field cleaning work significantly.
When a heat exchanger tube 2 is fitted in a hole of the tube plate 1 of a heat exchanger, inner wall face of the tube plate 1 and the outer wall face of the heat exchanger tube are cleaned to remove fats and oils and dusts therefrom before the heat exchanger tube 2 is secured in place. In such a method for cleaning between the heat exchanger tube and the hole of the tube plate of a heat exchanger, a detergent is sprayed between the heat exchanger tube 2 and the hole of the tube plate at the time of cleaning the inner wall face of the hole 3 in the tube plate 1 and the outer wall face of the heat exchanger tube 2 and then the detergent is discharged by evacuation.
