Abstract:
PURPOSE: To carry out the compression molding by using an infection molding machine.
CONSTITUTION: After arrival of an injection molding machine 1 at a position (molds touching position) in contact with molds 2, 4 is verified during molds closing step, the machine 1 is advanced to a final mold clamping step. A controller 25 of the machine 1 inputs a signal from a changeover switch 31 for switching injection molding and compression molding. When the compression molding is selected, a molds touching position stored in a memory 27 is altered to a set molds closing position slightly before the touching position. Accordingly, when the molds 2, 4 are closed, they are regarded as having arrived at the touching position at the slightly opened position, and the molds are started to be clamped from the position. As a result, a molding material injected in a mold cavity is compression molded at the set molds closing position.
