Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perfectly and quickly confirm sealing of a package body including a solid, etc., by placing the package body on a gel molding which changes its shape to trace a shape of a packaged object and detecting a leaking gas upon application of an external force to the package body.
SOLUTION: A sealing-confirming apparatus for a package body wherein a solid is sealed in a plastic bag or the like by heat fusion is provided with a mount stage 1 whereat a gel molding e.g. molded silicone gel 2 or the like coated with a PET film or the like is stored and fixed in a frame. Above the stage 1 are set a pressing means pressing a bag 3 as the package body with a predetermined pressure and comprising a pressing plate 8 and an air cylinder 9 with a pressure adjustment mechanism, and a detecting means collecting by a hood 5 an inert gas such as helium or the like sealed in the bag 3 when the gas leaks because of the pressing and detecting by a detector 11 such as a small mass analyzer or the like. Since the silicone gel 2 changes its shape in conformity with a shape of the solid in the bag 3, no extra pressure is applied to the package body. The thickness of the gel molding is preferably 3-20 mm.
