PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic coating device which imparts required insulation without occupying a space by adopting the constitution to change over intermediate containers from a first position to insulate coating material to be supplied through their openings from a spray device to a second position to supply the coating material into the line of a spray device.
CONSTITUTION: In the structural unit consisting of the intermediate container chambers A and B, movable connecting units 6 and 6' out of the chambers A and B is drown and is rotated 180°C during the halt of the coating work to be shifted next after the end of coating and is again connected after the end of the rotation. The intermediate container chamber A, to which the coating material is supplied, is then brought to the lower side after the rotation and is connected to the spray device 2. Then, the emptied intermediate container chamber B is brought to the upper side and is connected to an outlet pipe 1 of the spray system. The coating material is supplied to the chamber B. The coating material is supplied from the chamber A to the spray device 2. The coating materials in the chambers A and B are grounded during the supply from the supply system and the high potential is impressed thereto during the supply to the spray device.
