Abstract:

PURPOSE: To control opening degree of raw material discharging gate and to keep grain size distribution constant by dropping sampled charging raw material for blast furnace discharged from an ore vessel, taking a picture thereof with telecamera, executing grain size analysis after executing image processing.

CONSTITUTION: The charging raw material of sintered ore, bulky ore, etc., for the blast furnace, is discharged into an electrically driven feeder 2 from the ore vessel 1 through the discharging gate 12 worked with a gate driving device 11, where this is charged into a scale hopper 20 while removing powder in the raw material. By sampling means 3 set close to discharging end of the electrically driven feeder 2, the above raw material is sampled. This sampled raw material is dropped from a belt conveyor 6 through a chute 4 and guide hopper 5. The picture of this dropped raw material is taken with the telecamera 8. This image is processed with a computing element 9 to execute the grain size analysis in the raw material. Based on this grain size analysis result, the above gate driving device 11 is adjusted to control the opening degree of gate 12. By this method, the grain size distribution of charging raw material for the blast furnace is made uniform and the blast furnace operation is stabilized.
