Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for at least relieving a problem found in the prior art of the work unit of a textile machine for producing a winding package, and moreover ideally realizing a more inexpensive embodiment of the work unit.SOLUTION: At least during the initial phase of a startup period of the winding process after forming a thread connection between the upper thread and the lower thread into one thread (30), no negative pressure is applied to the thread catching nozzle or cleaning nozzle (23), or only such a small negative pressure is applied to the thread catching nozzle or cleaning nozzle (23) that the nozzle (23) does not suck in the thread (30) during the startup period.
